To be able to go against the tide to fulfill your dream is really admirable. It is your life...other people's expectations from you do not always happen, it is your decision.

I admire Asad for doing what he wanted as opposed to what society wanted because that is a very scary step to make, and I agree, I think the world would be better off if less people were unhappy inside because usually the unhappiness of one person is inflicted upon another.

In society today, you never hear people saying, "I dream of being a plumber," or "I want to be an electrician when I grow up." So, what will the world be if everyone pursued their dreams? We'd have no electricians, now plumbers or garbage men! A societies culture can shape an individuals dreams, much like it can shape an individuals values. Is there a way we can retrain society to believe that being a plumber is a dream worth having?

I think it's interesting that we often as kids, "what do you want to be when you grow up?" But at some point, we stop really asking that question of ourselves, and end up disenchanted and disappointed with our lives. Somewhere in between, we are burdened by small failures and broken expectations. They weigh heavy on our brain and we slowly become paralyzed by inaction. I admire Asad for removing these shackles and pursuing his dream. I wonder if it would have been harder if he had been more established for many years in the financial community?

What a world it would be, as long as those dreams are directed by the best we have within...sometimes our dreams conflict with the dreams of others...and then what? history has shown we have a long way to go when it comes to managing our conflicts both within ourselves and with others. nevertheless...let us dream on! envisioning a better world, a healthier world, a world where there is room for everyone and what they hold most dear....

I think it would be incredible if people pursued their dreams but if they realized that even the smallest goal can be a dream vs. the idea of higher than the sky dreams. Following the things that make you happy and love your life - that's how you follow your dream. Imagine the world if we all felt fulfilled and passionate about the lives we lead.
