The problem with that is that we easily blame outside of ourselves when we don't feel good about what is created in our lives. We are the architects of each and every day. Never forget that.

In my opinion, what you're good at and what you love cannot be separated. Maybe you have naturally more skills in one, like physics for example. But what you really love is photography. You might have more skills in physics, but you will be better at photography because that's what you love. Passion and commitment I believe are more valuable when it comes to being "good" at something than natural ability. And on top of that, you can always incorporate your natural skills into what you really love. You can use your physics' abilities to play with lighting in your camera. I really think what you're good at and what you love cannot be separated.

I find the last few lines of the interview very fascinating because he says "artists do what artists do" and basically he is saying that artists are observers of what happens in the world and not participants and to me this resonated because that is what I've always felt about artists.

I am a firm believer that you should find a way to exercise your natural / God given talent(s). This is doing what you are naturally good at doing. Whatever it is, you are "naturally" good at it usually as a result of your upbringing , exposure or background. Your natural talent is comprised of the things you LOVE to do and the things that motivate you. When you focus your energy on the "natural talent", your potential is endless and you are always excited to grow in these gifts and talents. The growth potential is exponential. Seek and search to identify your God given talent and it will provide you and your family with endless rewards and experiences to cherish.

Do what you love and you'll become good at it and happy. Otherwise, you could be on a road to misery. I was good at math in school but I could never have become a mathematician. I didn't care enough about it.
